Everything is generally doing okay so far, my pole beans don't seem to want to come up though.

Keeping up with those potatoe beetles on my eggplants, just awful this year. I lost the battle with them last year. I still used some heirloom seeds this year. Mark was telling me about some hybrids he has been growing the last couple years that bugs didn't bother with so much. The following day he brought three plants, two of on kind and one single. So far, I haven't seen one single bug on them, but my heirlooms are taking a serous munching.

Most of my plants seem to be rooting in right now, corn is up doing fine.

I have had to replant my tomatoes and peppers. Wind killed most of my tomatoes, and the birds got to my pepper plants. i have never had this happen before. When the tomatoes go back in- wo will a wind block until the roots get established. To deter the birds, the guy at the greenhouse told me to run a fishing line above the row, for some reason, he said it cofuses the birds and they leave the plants alone. So, I'll try that.
