I've had to take to order dried herbs off amazon for things that I don't grow or that don't grow well here.

Jewelweed is supposed to be good for burns. I had some growing but it died off after a few years. I was thinking it would be good as an herbal soak added to cold water when I burn myself.

We have brackenfern growing in the same places as nettle. It also works on the sting. As does plantain. They also work on bee stings.

And if you get a lot of stings, soak the spot in vinegar.

I've had a horrible experience with a bed of nettles and made sure I could stop the burn if it happened again. I was in too much pain to make a baking soda paste. Standing in the shower pouring vinegar on my legs was all I was capable of.

Oh now I'm sitting here thinking and wondering if I could make a lotion using those herbs and vinegar to put on stings. Lotion only lasts a 6-8 weeks at room temp, but it freezes well.
