If either of you are having hot flashes, I'd advise against the foil hats since it turns you into a modified 'easy bake oven'....trust me on this one!

At 54 I am really glad I had most of my plumbing removed about 16 years ago! It is worth it, even going through the bleeding out that prompted the removal. Even my ovaries shutting down isn't as bad as I have heard (thankfully!). Just the hot flashes to deal with.

Good to see that WZ has finally started her Journal.
WZ, you mentioned at the opening of this journal that you were NOT going to fill in that questionnaire. My question is where is that? I seem to be missing something here. Call me dense but I never found a blank questionnaire about anything.

By the way, the cat with the tin foil had and the hot flash is definitely a recipe for some form of emotional outburst/disaster.

While I've never been through female menopause, I guess I went through it as a man. In September I will qualify for SS. Now there is a milestone of which to be proud!

At any rate, I will say that I DO KNOW where Cudahy is. I lived in Milwaukee for 10 years. Loved that city...but glad to be away from all cities now.

I find the journals a lot more fun because we LIBERTARIANS can say what we want here.

We should consider it an achievement when we actually collect SSI, considering the state of the fund. It will be nice to get back some part of what we put in before it falls apart just in time to be old.

Every paycheck, we look at the deduction for SSI, and we hope my husband's grandmother is using hers, because we'll never get to see it.
