Traverse City is as north as I ever lived and I couldn't take that. You Uppers are a tough race.

Thanks to all of you who are in the negative temps I now feel like I live in Florida. I was just complaining because it is suppose to go down to 22 tonight. The wind has been howling all day and it felt like it was already there. But at least the sun was shining.
Just took the dog out for a walk and I came in complaining. Jumped on here to see what was going on and instantly got warmer. LOL

Temps never got out of the negatives yesterday. Windchills at -30. Dear Coolie shivered the entire time I milked her. We probably worry too much about our animals - they seem to take it all in stride.

It's about 3 a.m. and the winds have finally subsided. Monday is suppose to be in the teens.

roosmom, hope all is well at your place. I pray each night before I go to sleep for our safety from a fire. Wood stoves are great, but the fear is always there. We had a chimney fire a few years ago. No damage and it was a minor fire. We called for help and the brave volunteer fireman trudged through snow and strong winds to help.

being southern, my old bones now can't take the cold...but I know I have it so much easier than you snow people!

dress warm today. I have to dig out a hat and gloves for today! Now, to find them???? LOL

Sun is shining but our wind chill temperatures are in the single digits. Schools are delaying opening to clear up after yesterday's snow/ice. We never got the predicted winds last night and did NOT lose power for which we are very thankful!
