It's amazing how many do not cook meals, or really don't know how! Dynamics of "why" are huge. Gardens are extra work & some don't...

MThey're harder to peel, so I use the weird shaped ones for puree or sauce. I do quarter them for bottling.

sure, that can work (i don't think we'd spend $20 for those items here), grow your own vegetables and forage to supplement the carbs...
