It's funny that I tolerate and appreciate snakes as much as I do, lol. When I was much (very much) younger I was bitten by a copperhead. I've gotta tell you that was NO fun at all. I was bitten on the inside of my foot and the swelling went up to my hip. You would never believe there could be so much swelling in a leg. I was a skinny little thing back then and all I could think of was that my leg looked like a butter churn... (funny the kind of things that stick in our head all those years). I remember the docs talking about surgery to split the skin and relieve the pressure...thank goodness it didn't come to that! Snakes were bad that year and another kid in the neighborhood was bitten as well.

But - all's well that ends well and 40+ years later the scar is still visible.

At least you can tell a really interesting story about it. Of course, it doesn't have to be exactly what happened. :hide

Well.....talk about indecision, lol! We've put the Italy trip on hold in favor of another destination. We are going to Canada to ride horses in the Rockies! Deposit is paid, flights and rental car are reserved and I can't wait!!!!

I'd rather do that than go to Italy! Have fun and take lots of pictures.

I'm drooling. I'd love to go on something like that one day-if I could find a reliable person to care for my animals while I'm gone.
