Nice!:bow

I got two large styrofoam coolers for free, complete with several 'gel ice' packs that you freeze to keep stuff cold. Normally I wouldn't use styrofoam, but these were absolutely free, and my taking them kept them out of a landfill. The place where I work was throwing them away! they had only been used once! And they are nice and clean!:clap

I have one just like it that was gifted to me several years ago. It works but holding the correct humidity is difficult so I don't use it much. Mine was all original parts and pieces. Think it is cool even if I don't use it as much as my newer cabinet one.

you wouldnt happen to have the operating instructions would you.......I need to know when and how much to oepn the vent holes?

is the top on this model a two part, back half steady and the front half able to open?

is the two boards/shelf in the top where the water bowls go?

my temp and humidity seem to be holding steady 38-42% humidity(just testing will increase water surface when ready to use) and 98-100 temp

thanks for the help

SO got a turkey this morning with his bow. First day of the season! So we cleaned it and I cut it up and we are now aging it in the refridgerator. It will become broth, a few meals and dogfood.

I've started couponing. Today, I stocked up on stuff I would use anyway and saved 32% on it all. And even better, it's stuff that'll avoid spending more money - like deli meats to make sandwiches that DS18 will eat for lunch instead of him buying sandwiches. I didn't buy a single thing that wasn't on coupon. :woot

Thanks for the Manual reference!! Mine has the two part lid and the water area is like yours. Guess I'll have to try again once I get to read and study the manual. Thanks again.

Well this is kind of an ordinary thing, but new to me. I made our family's bread for the week myself. I know a lot of you already do that, but for me it is a new skill.

The bread costs less, but the best part is that it is more like the expensive bread we were unable to afford anymore and not the cheap stuff.

I want to try sourdough next! :drool

I want to be able to make my own bread, but just don't have the time. So, good for you!

Boy what aren't we doing these days in the name of "saving money"... Here's just in the last week: quit eating out entirely (it's always a disappointment anyway), bake most of my own bread and make my own yogurt and cheese, knitting myself a sweater rather than buying a new one, bought maternity clothes at Goodwill, spun some yarn, started looking for a used 3-1 crib, planted 30 tomato and 20 pepper seeds, got the sewing machine out to sew a bunch of stuff-- baby quilt, diaper bag, hats, purse, alter some clothes, etc... Wheew. Wear myself out just looking at that list. But it'll be worth it in the end.
