So cool finding a floor! That must be a heckuva tree to get through the concrete, lol. Of course, anywhere there's a crack in the concrete something is gonna grow through it - but a TREE????
FEM, I'm anxious to see the extend of the damage to the floor made by that tree. I found a biggish root snaking off across the floor, it's just to the right of the bucket in the pic and you can see the one coming up next to the stump. Heaven knows where that came from...

Finally! a floor! Now all you gotta do is scrape up the rest of the floor and get rid of that humongous STUMP! It is looking so good! Keep up the good work!
That's what I'm thinking, baymule :) Don't forget the roots though! And the doorway…

Woohoo! You're almost done now! It won't seem nearly as daunting now that you know where "bottom" is!:thumbsup

Yes! I know exactly how far I need to go now :) And the best feeling of all is every bit of floor I scrape clean is DONE! More than 3 feet of dirt, rubbish, bones, wire, fencing, bottles, ghosts, tins, broken glass, heaven knows what else and tree roots gone, done!

After spending some time on prepping the lawn area this week I went back to the shed yesterday finally. Took some bottles to the bins and cleared some more floor. Continued today and made good progress, in spite of a massive tree root being such a nuisance, I ended up sawing it off to get it out of my way, at the stump and where it disappeared to at the door. I need to get a pic of it and show you what that thing got hold of while growing, it's kinda cool. I have a bit more space to clean up and then I'm mostly done with the floor and left with the tree stump itself :) I would've loved to get that done today, but I ran into another big root being a pain in the rump and I'm tired.

Oh and no more notable ghostly events except for a "cold spot" at the area I got spooked out not that long ago. Nothing major, just a much lower temperature in that area for a few seconds. It was kinda strange, but I ignored it and carried on working and everything was and stayed normal after that.

Yay for progress! Maybe the spirit has figured out that you're doing a GOOD thing and is going to accept your hard work! :)

I'm going to take care of it myself, if not today, maybe tomorrow. Help was offered locally a time or two, by people I know here, but didn't come... I just get on with it. I'm going to need help with the tree stump though… And the roof.

Done. Except for the tree stump, roots and whatever is under there that I didn't get out, or couldn't get out yet. Here is the root I cut out this morning, look at the horseshoe and stuff grown into it. It's kinda cool… There are loads more stuff stuck in the tree as well, bottles, part of a bed frame…

And… the shed. I need to clear out the doorway still, but that won't take me very long. You can see here what the problem is with the roots… It's holding something in place there that won't come out without me taking the roots out first.

This root is so stuck to the floor, I don't know if/how I'm going to get it out. It's grown through the metal bucket as well:

This is the "haunted spot" From my secateurs through that narrow strip between the tree and the wall:
