He has, you can't see them in their shelter half the time! They come out like that every morning!

I like snow until February, by then I'm over it! Ok sometimes it's sooner than that, lol. As soon as we are in our new house I will welcome the snow. We're even getting our generator hooked up so it'll be automatic when the power goes out and power the whole house. That will solve many of my complaints! Now I just need water over at the barn, maybe that'll be a summer project! Hmm....

Before it gets too cold we have to butcher 2 goats, 3 (well 2 1/2?) Pigs, and 2 roosters. I say 2 1/2 because one is going to be a roaster for a friend so we don't have to cut it up . Oh and hopefully a deer. It's rifle season after all!

Will the snow slow down progress on getting the new house there? Hope not!

That's a lot of butchering. How big are the new little pigs?

DH assures me it will not be an issue, it's supposed to rain this weekend so that will help.

Um, not very big. It won't take long, lol. Right now the guy we're raising the pig for is buying grain for all of our animals (goats are currently on hay only) so... no real rush cause we don't want to buy grain! When he stops giving us barrels they'll go bye bye, lol.

I need to go find sheep grain and minerals and start upping the copper bolus frequency so we can keep the two species together!

Whew! Glad to hear that!

Wish someone would buy my grain, lol! Pretty good deal. Is he going to help butcher?

So exciting! But, yea - shame they can't eat the same..or well..I guess they could if you're not feeding a high copper "goat pellet" and you do the copper bolus for the goats.

Yes that's my plan, feed sheep feed and bolus. The sheep hardly eat any grain, apparently their fleeces are nicer with just good hay and good minerals. It's mostly just to get them inside at night!

Yeah he'll help butcher. Well, skin and gut. We'll just grind 90% so we'll hack 'em up without help lol. sounds terrible
