The last batch of spaghetti sauce I made had 1# of sweet Italian sausage in a large crock pot. I added a lot of diced garlic, red pepper, and onion, as well as the dried seasonings. Flavor was delightful.

Did you pressure can that sauce your wife made? I assume so, since it had the sausage.

My wife and I pressure canned it together last night, 20 pints. She'll finish the rest this afternoon from the leftovers, she put in the refrigerator last night. It's nice to be able to help (after she taught me).

I love it when my hubby is around to help me with pressure canning. The extra set of hands makes it so much easier. And, I'm hoping that by teaching him, he will be more comfortable navigating in the kitchen if I'm ever unable to do so. I've told him that if I should die first, that I expect him to find himself a good wife, immediately, and I won't object if he starts shopping during my funeral! Pre-requisites:

She must love Jesus and be kind spirited. She must be able to cook.

Thicker crust sausage, mushroom, onion one for me.

My night to cook. Pan seared scallops over canned garden sweet corn, store bought tomatoes slices with garden basil. Dusting of old bay seasoning. Delicious but very filling.

I cooked a 10# ham yesterday and make a HUGE pot of beans today. Gave a good amount of the ham to DD for lunches, plus some beans but, most of the beans will be frozen for ME. I love to heat & eat. Rainy day, so inside at least 1/2 a day. Rain all week!!
