Nope.
"Impeachment is the process by which a legislative body levels charges against a government official. Impeachment does not in itself remove the official definitively from office; it is similar to an indictment in criminal law, and thus it is essentially the statement of charges against the official."

Impeachment just means the president has been CHARGED. It means he will likely go to "trial" in front of the Senate. Think of the Senate as the jury. He has not been convicted of anything at this point.

Yeah and now what I'm hearing is Nancy is no longer in a hurry to send the impeachment articles to the Senate? The Dems where in such a big hurry to impeach the POTUS but now after the vote they put on the brakes. What's the deal with that?

Send it to the Senate! Can the Senate have the trial even with the articles of impeachment NOT sent to the Senate or must they wait?

I think the Senate can yes, but without the prosecutors from the house (called managers) it would be a defacto aquital because there are no articles or prosecutors present.

After reading my pocket Constitution I also determined the impeachment process begins in the House of Representatives with a vote to impeach. Then the president/vice president/official stands trial for the accusations in the Senate. The Chief Justice of the United States (John Roberts) presides over the impeachment trial.

In all impeachment trials, members of the House serve as prosecutors (managers) and the full Senate sits as the jury. The accused (president/vice president/official) must be convicted by a two-thirds vote of the Senate to be removed from office.

My predictions...

1) Nancy will wait to a short while to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate.

2) POTUS will be aquited (found innocent) of both articles.

3) Trump will win reelection in 2020

4) Republicans will take majority of the house and of course retain majority of the Senate.

5) Nancy will retire in 2020

6) The division between the parties will widen.

Let's see if my spidey senses are even close to being correct.

Creal, I do hope you are right. I would love to see this whole debacle result in a massive back lash, with voters standing up and saying, "enough is enough. Stop the foolish. Stop the stupid." No matter what the outcome, our country is in a world of hurt with sick politics. Pray. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I don't see any path where the divisiveness is reduced. So many hearts are hardened.

That's the odd thing I don't understand and probably never will. Our Democratic Republic is supposed to be by the people, for the people. I think our government have stuck their noses in places they shouldn't have and separated the people.

I'm completely for the American First policies of the current administration, I believe given time and support those policies will go a long way to help heal the division of the American people. The division didn't just happen overnight and healing isn't going to be quick either, it will take time. But bipartisan policies should also help heal. Healing the division should be the #1 goal of this and future administions. It's a complex web of wrongs that need to be made right. All people are imperfect each and everyone of us has our faults. For us that are believers Thank God we have our Lord Jesus Christ on our side.
