We always TRY & buy/ cook/ eat clean.
Meaning fresh, organic NON-GMO, grass feed/, nothing processed (except Amy's Ketchup DH 's )
The least added ingredients, like Braggs salad dressings. We dont eat out, I cook 3 meals a day. You do what you can, not everyone has assess to good groceries or can grow a garden.

We are the same way. I do buy a few processed things like nut free granola bars for both kids snacks at school and Kraft mac n cheese (good ole comfort food). And we don't eat "traditional" meals at our house, if someone wants a salad or pasta for breakfast that is what they eat. My thought is your body knows what it needs and it isn't always eggs or toast in the morning but a big bowl of veggies or chicken.

We also don't eat out unless it is a special occasion, like a birthday, and even then we usually bring it home and add to it.

So hard to find like minded families for our children but we have found a couple.

You are 100% correct! In absence of foods with added flavor, our sense of taste guides us toward nutrients we need.

love to make rice bowls,
I cook up a pot of rice, a pot of black beans, in summer a bowl of greens but in winter I sprout , and we add things on top, onion -cilantro- green chili- what ever you want,, I do once in a while go in a nd get sour cream and guacamole

Bu you can d the same with pasta, just keep a pot of precooked pasta in the fridge and everyone can mix it up when ever.
I get my sprout seed from True Leaf Market / Handy Pantry
