I am completely exhausted. I need a nap. It’s really too bad I’m a cow. 😭🤣
It gets easier. They will get more efficient and nurse less frequently. You'll also leak less or not at all. Hang in there. Right now, sleep, eat, cuddle, survive. :hugsAll they need is milk, momma, and a safe place to sleep.

I’m trying to just be there for them. Every time they cry I leak job a little bit more. Might as well just not wear a shirt.

They amaze me- I put Val on my chest while I fed Frankie and I can’t describe it but somehow she found her way to my second breast! It was crazy.

yeah, I recommend just going topless and lie on the floor. They'll find a way. By the time my oldest was a couple months old, I slept topless and slept through the night. We bed-shared, he would wake up and nurse without waking me.

No such luck with the second one, bed-sharing didn't work well for us. He did periodic breathing, and every time there was a pause in his breathing I would wake up. Mothers (who bed-share from birth, exclusively breastfeed and don't use alcohol/drugs/medications that affect sleep) have the most bizarre sleep when co-sleeping with a newborn. They don't move or roll over, and they wake up every time their baby's breathing changes. It's quite incredible. And somehow they get more and better sleep than mothers who bottle feed. (moms who pump and bottle feed get the least sleep and lowest quality sleep). I messed up my shoulder from not changing position in my sleep and had chronic pain for years from it. He got moved to a co-sleeper (crib attached to side of the bed) and then room shared.

On days you're not too tired, consider online learning? The mental boredom is the most painful part of the first year, Everything else is wonderful but feeling your intelligence decay is not. I'm partial to Wondrium, but any audiobooks or documentaries or online classes can help ease the mental anguish. Something to do when your kids are holding you captive.

Gianna moves too much in her sleep for me to be able to co to sleep but the bassinet is helpful, they cry, I wake up, we feed.

I did sign up for some online college classes.

We are watching the new Boba Fett show on Disney plus while we feed the babies and dogs and I have to say I really enjoy it. I like how they went back to the comics.

Maybe I’m just bored out of my mind but this is one of the most exciting things we’ve done in the last few days!
