Been longingly staring out my window at the beautiful day I am missing cooped up here

Blue skies, sun, warm breeze, chirpy birds.

it was a beautiful day yesterday for gardening but i got sidetracked by needing to trim some trees so the ISP would be happier. up on a ladder, cutting trees with loppers and a limbing saw. i'm still not really upper-body strong and my arms are gimpy too due to injuries so it was a rather fun challenge, but we got it done in the end. no, i'm not going to post any pictures, it doesn't look purty at all. once the cedar trees grow a bit more they'll be ok. i hope. if not, we'll plant some more, we always have extras growing around here...

We got a nice downpour \o/. I took the wife's dog out behind the garden, to go pee. Seen a nice sized turtle, ofcourse wife's dog wanted to go inspect it. I got a look at it's shell seen the spikes around the edges and pulled him back. Said whoa there cowboy, that's a snapper, you don't want to mess with that one. We walked past the snapper and back up the the garden. I looked and yep overnight rain brought up sunflower, squash and watermelon sprouts. Potatoes are starting to poke their heads out also, thanks for the downpour, Almighty 👍

rained for a few moments. not sure we'll get much more but chances remain for the next few days. either way i'm good. garden or not garden. the nice thing will be a return to more moderate temperatures for a few days at a time instead of this going from 60F to the mid-80sF in one day and then back again.

🥶 37F here this morning, had to start the wood stove-high only of mid 50s today

brr! we've had rains and not too bad of temperatures, but this coming week we have a few nights of low 40sF in the forecast. we're still holding off on putting out any of the warmer weather starts until perhaps next week. i can plant some onions i have, but i really need to get some gardens weeded too so i should get those done asap. today should let me get outside again and back to it. :)
