Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Coffee is ready. Anybody know a good OTC medicine that will break up this crud in my head so I can blow it out?

I have found, for me, all of the OTC stuff moves it from my head to my chest, and I end up with a sinus infection,
the last time I was sick was - it started the last week of Feb. 2020 I was sick for 43days- didnt feel like me until April 10th,
I held out as long as I could but I ended up calling my doc. he was in shock cuz I never call him,
, an inhaler and antibiotics was the only thing that kept me out of the hospital,
I cant fix bronchitis

Mucinex and steam.....HOT, wet washcloth over nose & mouth...breath in. Any good old Vicks?

Just as a PSA - Mucinex raises my BP into the stratosphere. Doesn't do that to DH, but I tend to react pretty strongly to it. If you have a BP cuff - just check it a couple hours after taking it. I miss it because the stuff works!

The active ingredient in Mucinex is guaifenesin. If you think it's heading for your chest, get the 8 hour quick release guaifenesin tablets. After multiple COVID bouts here, it worked better than mucinex.

Vitamin D helped too.

Whatever you take, drink tons of water.

Sudafed - with psuedoephedrine. Works like a charm for me. Can raise blood pressure, so its not for everyone

If you can, make some chicken bone broth with garlic , thyme and oregano
and take a hot Epsom salt bath with eucalyptus
