Coffee is ready. Storm passed me by. Got some rain, tornadoes went north of me. Night temperature will be in the 40’s and 30’s on the 10 day forecast. On the 10th night it’s showing 27F, night before Christmas Eve. I’ll have granddaughters next week, I’m to go to my sister’s house Christmas Eve, spend the night and come Home Christmas night. Don’t like being gone in freezing weather. Have 2 big fat pregnant ewes due??? whenever and it’s almost certain they will pick the worst weather to lamb. If I’m gone, AND bad weather, that makes them even happier.

And I try to get holiday stuff on clearance after the holiday (or from thrift stores) so I'm not contributing as much to the consumerism machine.
Yup, we do the same- get holiday stuff off of clearance the day after any Holiday just to have it for the next year. FH is already talking about how we are going to decorate the outside of the house and yard for next year.
Just before he left this AM he looked at the weather, told me we are in for freezing rain later tonight so he may have to go out for road brining but he would let me know later. I hope he doesn't so we can go to the company Christmas party tonight. I just don't see why they would schedule it for during the week (ON A WORK NIGHT to boot!!!) but that's what the company did.
Getting ready to make more cookies today- regular Peanut Butter :)love) and Oatmeal :)sick) then hopefully the sugar cookie dough for the Christmas cutouts seeing how it has to sit in fridge for a few hours or overnight.

I just checked the new weather app. It's saying we've gotten 2.41 inches of rain so far this evening and I heard some claps of thunder. I'm glad it's rain and not snow. Radar looks like one of comma storm systems with a mix/snow line north of us. @FarmerJamie

Looking at the national map most of it appears to be missing us. Weird storm flow. Going to get a little precip tonight

Morning all. We got 1 1/8" out of the last little bout of rain. It was enough. Finally was able to put out some rye grass seed in Oct and Nov. With the last couple of weeks, we have enough moisture to germinate more of the seed, that has been sitting there getting eaten by chickens/birds.
With the rye and fescue that picked up in Nov (finally) it looked spring like yesterday. 20 degrees colder today. With today in the 20's for 5 days, maybe 6 or 7 up here.

Slept like a rock again, I like it \o/. Temperature is currently 59 degrees, we got a lot of rain overnight. It's cloudy, slightly breezy and it's looking like more rain is on the way.

Enjoy your day!
