@murphysranch I hope your husband feels better, no fun being away from home and being sick and feeling bad.

I’m glad the house sold, it is behind you now, paying off your new place is awesome. Plus the improvements you want to make to really make it your own.

I’m holding up my glass of ice tea, toasting congratulations and may you enjoy your new home to the fullest.

Pasture boss Oreo is very excitable today. She seems very happy under the sunny and cool day today. If funny to see her jump and become airborne. That's a lot of weight to make airborne 😳 she seems happy and healthy so that's what matters to me.

On my last cup of coffee. Outside chores are done. Going to be sunny today. I’ve been inside for days, with this cold and runny nose. Maybe after church I’ll get out some 1x12’s and cut boards for finishing up the shelf towers in the two closets. I dropped the ball before Christmas and haven’t got started again. Got sick at Christmas, went on week vacation, came home to injured horse that needed eye drops 6 times a day for 2 weeks and terrible rainy weather for those same two weeks. So I’m sick again. Getting tired of this crap.

How'd the visit go? 🙂

Usual up, coffee, chores....went to work. Home mid afternoon. Had a no lunch, early dinner sandwich. Out to check everyone, collect eggs, feed...

One doe missing - in barn busy with a new kid. 🥰. A single, big doeling. Nice baby. It's all good. 👍 Got everyone settled into a bonding pen, water, feed, hay, etc. Hugged all the other babes. Checked moms and had to milk some from one. Heavy producer. Nice quart of fresh, creamy milk. Her kids are fat!

Inside at dusk. Good day for me. :old :clap

These heavy producing moms, lol. I noticed today that I've got two big buck kids developing milk goiters.

For those who aren't familiar - it's not a bad thing. https://www.tennesseemeatgoats.com/articles2/milkgoiter.html

Big, stout kids on a 1/2 Nubian, 1/2 Kiko mom. Even her big ol' kids can't keep up with her! She's milking like crazy and I have to ease her load no less than every other day. I should do it every day.

In fact, I've got 4 does I have to steal some milk from so they don't get too tight. I'm ok with that - it allows me to sneak enough milk for our use while moms are still taking care of their babies.

I pretty much did nothing yesterday. It was cold, windy and I didn’t need to be out in it. So I stayed in and blew my nose. LOL

I let Sheba and Sentry train Buford, I could look out the window and make sure there was no sheep running from a puppy wanting to play. Buford was a good boy all day. Sheba helped him run some energy off, she loves having a playmate.

Buford sat so good yesterday for his food.
