Homemade Tick Repellent?????What about other bugs! not just ticks

No flames, but I encourage you to try the neem oil. I'm a nurse and I just don't like to see people using chemicals if they can use natural. Test it before hunting season, just to see. And let me know!

Homemade Tick Repellent?????What about other bugs! not just ticks

I did read the whole thread. I just want you guys to know there are alternatives. I know about deet and deer hunting, but neem oil is natural and only smells for a little while. And it works. I am trying to allow you alternatives to the chemicals. Deet is carcinogenic. I cringe when I hear that...

Homemade Tick Repellent?????What about other bugs! not just ticks

Just an example. There are others. Not trying to flame, just pointing out what you obviously overlooked. I think the whole idea of natural remedies is taking a conscious look at the things we are doing to our bodies with chemicals, and trying to avoid it.

    Warts, fleas and ticks

Ultrasound also works on those seed warts. I had a PT I worked with, and he treated them. The ultrasound vibrates the "seeds" out and then you pluck them out with hemostats. Takes a lot longer than a month tho. My sis has two of them and is gonna try the neem oil on them. I'll let ya know how it...

Homemade Tick Repellent?????What about other bugs! not just ticks

Ummm, hello people. I think this section is called "natural remedies" for a reason. The neem oil is a great idea. We put some on last night for the mosquitos and it seemed to work. Off and deet are chemicals, and should be discouraged from being encouraged in this thread. Sorry to sound like I'm...

    Warts, fleas and ticks

Well, since I've had the wart for about 6 months, I think the neem worked. Just saying...... Beekissed, I know what you mean. I have been trying to study independently as well, as has DIL. We are both interested, and I know about the "liver" thing. You find that a lot in naturopathic medicine...

    Warts, fleas and ticks

I have been using Neem oil shampoo on my dogs for ticks and fleas, but recently read that it kills warts. Well I just happened to have a wart on my finger, so about once or twice a week I'd put a little Neem oil on it (when i remembered) and lo and behold, a month later, the HUGE wart is pretty...

    Congestion

You can find it at most health food stores. I get the Umcka cold and flu, cuz it seems to work better overall, but it's more spendy. I have allergies like crazy and the Umcka works great!

Public Service Announcement - Financial Literacy Survey

Clark Howard is radio, but he also has a website. He is awesome! I have learned so much from both website and show, and he doesn't talk down to his listeners, kinda like here and BYC. I'm coming into some money soon, and I will be paying off higher interest debts, investing some and holding...

Public Service Announcement - Financial Literacy Survey

I passed the test without problems, but I listen to Clark Howard. I love his financial advice. We are getting ready to buy a couple of blocks of stock after lots of homework. I have been watching this stock for months, and we know it will do well. I don't think you can have enough put aside for...

    Congestion

Just thought I'd let you all know what I use. It's called Umcka and it works better than any presription or OTC med I've ever tried. It works for nasal, sinus and lung congestion. Take according to directions on bottle as soon as you get the first signs. Works fairly quickly. Was used for TB in...
