Again, truth in that....we all need to decide for ourselves. None was willy-nilly processing. I don't forage mushrooms because of my concerns (plus most don't wild grow here) but, I would if more trained & located where they grow. Choices 😁

Beautiful roast going on. Almost 5#, bought on sale & further markdown 👏 love the freezer! Lots of good meals, sandwiches & eventually some stew from this one. A couple jars of canned veg will be used, too. Better get a loaf of bread working.

While this is all true, there are choices for jars & lids that offer better quality. Those new to canning may not realize this. They should investigate.

Thanks y'all -- now I need to pull a roast out 🙄 But this mornings 34 temp out & 60 in makes me think an oven meal would be great!!! Heat the house.

Yep -- both grands canned with WB. All they had. It takes longer for some items but worked well apparently as the families lived long lives! 6 & 7 kids survived ... So, some things were "untested" by a named agency. The milk cows gave untainted raw milk, too. The wild game was plentiful 😉

Major undertaking here too. Small freezer but chest type, so issues. However -- I entered my annual "no buy" winter early, so I'm looking & cooking thru it. The pantry is loaded, too. Coffee still plentiful. That & chocolate take extra space, even a buy if necessary!! :old priorities...

Staple guns rarely handle the "staples" needed for heavy fence! But the thought was nice 🙂

Not to mention the fabrics and wallet 😁

Last night, got home from work at 7:30. Tired, starving and pulled a blessed stuffed pepper from the freezer! In a few MW minutes, I had a delicious meal. It felt gourmet, considering my state of mind!! 😂 Made the work to get it there worth it. 👍

Glad it's been found & the surgery is reported to be a successful procedure & normally uncompromising. A month at home? Can be good 😋 Karma bit! Hoping it all goes smoothly.
