I put mine upstairs....still a little drifts down. Plus I cooked some with beef patties. So 😁 It's not bad. The price we pay for convenience & supply later.
Didn't get to freezer for chicken breast, will today. Prob won't thaw for canning today. Tomorrow job. Commercial pack at a 10#...
I dehydrated some paste tomatoes one yr and were super good when used in cooking. Nice flavor. Heck they even tasted good just eating dried. I plan to do those again this year. Actually a nice snack, satisfying.
Actually I do have a pepper/onion one I like. But had made 7 or 8 pints last spring, so not really needed. Prob caramelize them. Have some of those made, frozen in cubes. Nice for fast use. Some dehydrated. Might dehydrate & grind into powder. But onion gravy sounds good 😁 if canned with...
Thanks. I'm considering canning more ground beef, more chicken breast this weekend...make freezer room for other things. Gotta pull out & thaw. Quite a few onions need to be preserved in some way -- hamburger patties with onion gravy in jars is a thought.
That looks delish! Me? Well long, hard day at work. Wheat crackers, goat cheese and wine. Yep, I deserve the wine!! I'd gobble that stuffed chicken if it was here 😁. Too tired to cook.
Sounds like freezer fill -- chicken & rabbit. Around here, it's sometimes better $ to sell them -- & that's generally for meat use. Unless a young hen, then egg layers. I've broken up 2 broodies already as I felt it was too early/cold for chicks. Next ones will get penned and a nest of...
Because Americans have used imperial for years! Metric is pretty foreign...at least here! But what do I know? We were actually taught to spell & write 🫨
Chilly 38 but upper 50s later :celebrate it's a start!
In fact, looking to be 50-60s for next week. I'm loving even the thought of it. So looking forward to warmer.
Coffee with weather & job schedule reviews. 😁
@flowerbug I wouldn't need any -- nope ! First yr of that and I'd be outta there. The older I get the more I despise even a little. Just a postcard admirer of the white stuff. The little extra here this yr was so inconvenient for feed/water chores. No livestock & I could stay inside...
That's really the only time I use my MW, heat ups. It does have exhaust built in...so, when it dies, I'd need to put in an exhaust hood. Otherwise, it's the light over my stove & a convenient bread box. 😁
About the only cooking in it is an occasional mug cake :hide
Is this convection oven...
Last night the rains turned into big, wet snow flakes. Fast hit, about an inch. Big winds gusts, back to light rain. What an event! This morn mostly gone and bright sun, so it'll be gone by afternoon -- Thankfully.
Hot coffee, off to work. Roads are clear.
