Last night the rains turned into big, wet snow flakes. Fast hit, about an inch. Big winds gusts, back to light rain. What an event! This morn mostly gone and bright sun, so it'll be gone by afternoon -- Thankfully. Hot coffee, off to work. Roads are clear.

Sounds good. I need to make some of that. I used a jar of canned ground beef, made burritos. Actually only used part of the pint jar, so something beefy tmrw. First I've used home canned ground beef & it was very good👍 Convenient & tasty. Actually not sure what it would be like.

In mid 40s but a cold drizzly rain all day. Chills ya! I did feed chores, collected eggs, came inside and doing squat. No apologies. I'm just being a great couch potato!

🤣 sometimes getting them into a sling or chute takes more effort! 20-30# of strong, fast, wiggly, 4 legged cuteness is hard to handle! :lol: :lol:

Coffee -- of course! -- and some of those little chocolate covered donuts. Broke all roles :lol: but tasty I'll eat better the rest of the day 😄

About 1/3" of rain before daybreak. So it will a " wet chill" in the air. Overcast & cool all day. 🤷 We haven't had much rain lately, so it was prob needed. Chores at 6:30, at work at 8. Home at 5. Not bad, just long.

A cup of hot tea, cream & sugar....toasted English muffin. Not hungry & had feed chores to do. THEY are well 🤣

Wonderful pantry finds!! Makes canning time worthwhile.

I have a couple late kidders....March & April. Fine with me...no snow! 🤣 And way fewer to kid, as I'd sold several adults earlier. It's somewhat refreshing!

14 pints...rings off & washed, jars washed, canner washed. All too hot last night. Wait a week, recheck seals & to pantry. There's shelf room and that tells me I've been using from there 😊 That's the difficult part for me -- using! Strictly mental as to being "done" & looking good, then...

8 pts chicken breast in canner, another 30 min. Another canner full waiting. 🤷 Some sales ya can't pass up! Veggies I grow & no harvest problems. Chickens I grow, harvest is sad & messy 😂

Having a coldish day here. Windy, wet from last night rains, overcast. It makes 40s feel lower. At least there's plenty of coffee in a warm house. Kinda hate to go outside 😁

My turnips go to chickens & goats...maybe I should try some myself. What's best cooking hints?

My freezer would take a week to empty to just inventory 😱😵‍💫🫤🤫 Been eating from it all winter but a couple "can't turn down" meat sales came up. I'm just gonna keep forcing self to eat solely from pantry & freezer. Good position to be in, I guess.

I'm thinking a chicken, broccoli, rice & cheese casserole. 🤷 Need to use up some cooked chicken & "over" chix salad. Have everything here to do 👍 Thinking on it over a second cuppa 😂
