A new journey into homesteading "pic heavy"

Chickens seem to be in good health. No issues at all. After just a couple days the egg yolks are much darker too. They have been pulling alot of bugs and grubs from the garden. Win win

The wood chips have already broken down alot tho. Looks like I need to haul a few more wheel barrow to the garden. But there's a nice layer of black stuff under the chips now

Before and after. The yolk on the right was from a week ago before I have them vitamins and let them roam. The one on the left is after two days roaming the yard and garden.

Nice - you can see the difference in the yolk color! Free ranging - it does a chicken good!

I've had to coop mine because we broadcast clover seed and I don't want them eating the seed. I'm a baaaad chicken mommy!

The boy learned to shoot today and bagged his first deer
