A new journey into homesteading "pic heavy"

I thought these things we gonna die when the wife brought them home. it was late in the season and she got them from Wal-Mart. we were just trying to fill in gaps. I knew they were destined to die so I didn't water them much or fertilize.... guess the joke is on me.

Goodness, I'd love to see how they'd do when you pamper them then!

Ellie Mae has been working her tail off today. cant wait to try these spicy pickles and okra.

decided to try my hand at making powered eggs. 4 dozen doesnt fill a quart sized jar.

Assume you felt the need to try the powdered eggs :) Looks like you did a nice job. Personally, I'd freeze but, not a big egg eater, so ----

Did you dehydrate them? I've been drying figs for over a week now. Friends tree FULL & she doesn't like them. Lucky me.

we cooked them and then dehydrated. they taste horrible and dont look anything like eggs. lol

next time ill dehydrate them raw. i used to eat powdered eggs all the time as a kid. they were good and looked like real scrambled eggs. these might get mixed in with the chicken feed
