A new journey into homesteading "pic heavy"

Should have been double... You'll see next year.

Nice!! My kind of gift and I'm sure she loves it. We just do.

chicks are hatching. Woke to a loan chick laying in the bator. Hopefully the rest hatch

today I had 2 chicks in the bator. Hopefully the rest follow suit.
I'm a little doubtful. I should have just built a new one ijnstead of using that little giant piece of junk.

Biggest issue with that is the 3 take the same care as 23 !

Right??

I have considered incubating to have started pullets for sale at the early "chicken swaps" but, it just really isn't cost effective for me. For now, my broodies will have to step up and do their job. LOL This year's crop is great! Next year I will set more eggs and sell some. MAY consider incubating a crop in Spring just for sale chicks...they demand more than I sometimes have time for. Hens handle the work for me nicely!

Yep. I trashed the incubator. Gonna build a wood one with a decent control.
