A new journey into homesteading "pic heavy"

well we got 4 more rabbits in the freezer. It's starting to add up. The freezer is almost half full

Things are going great in the meat department! :) Now, come spring, you'll have a vegetable garden and before you know it you will be putting a lot of home grown food on the table.

Left to right: venison, pork, flour/okra, rabbit. Still have a bunch of room! But it may be full before summer so we will be doing ALOT of canning

Y'all are doing a great job in the freezer department! A good variety of meat is even better! On those roosters, they look small, but in my experience, roosters eat a LOT and the sooner they are off the feed bill, the better. Layer roosters can get big, but it takes a long time and the feed to meat conversion is not the best. I butcher excess roos, but I only feed them long enough to get them big enough to butcher.

we will see what they look like in a couple weeks. I moved them to the grow out pen where they can eat more. I'm ready to get rid of them, but not exactly looking forward to the work

You have been racking up in the wood chips too! Nice, real nice!
