Congratulations on the 3 year anniversary. In February we will be here 5 years. It's nice to look back and see what you have accomplished. Maybe you haven't done all that you planned for, but you will get there. What fun to have a friend right down the road! The two of you can probably help each other with projects and encourage each other.

rabbit kindled again. she lost the last litter but it was some crazy weather. seems she isn't taking any chances this time.

did some pretty heavy pruning in the orchard this winter. got a nice brush pile going. I plan on hiring it and spreading the ashes back in the orchard if it ever dries enough to burn

still need to plant a few more trees and do more sheet mulching but I'm out of wood chips at the moment

I've been working a second job of sorts helping a friend remodel (completely rebuild) a house. haven't had much time for anything else. my shed is getting out of hand. I'm currently trying to get everything reorganized and there's alot that needs hauled off. I've also accumulated more tools than my little box can hold so there are several smaller boxes full of doubles and whatnot. trying to hang what I can on the walls to make room and condense this stuff. made some wrench organizers from wire. they work well. just wrap the wire around a broom stick and bam. wrench rack!
hopefully I'll be done soon over there because it's homestead season. and I'm honestly falling behind.

just serviced up the incubator and got it loaded. figure I might as well get some chicks ready for spring.

I'm a little apprehensive about the incubator tho. the fan motor has been giving me issues, both last year and this time when I first plugged it in. that little space heater fan was never meant to run for 21 days straight. they usually cycle on and off and only run for a couple hours max. not much to it, just a little shaded pole motor. I disassembled it and oiled the bearings and it's running fine now....but I did that last year too.

idk, if that thing fails the element will continue to run and overheat. there's no kind of safety switch. if it gets too hot it could spark a fire or something. gonna keep an eye on it for a while

How big is the bator? Can you replace the fan with something different? I use computer fans in my small bators, and bought a 6" "personal" fan that I may use in a new build.
