Wicks and oil for my oil lamps....is what I will be working on next

Have 3 lamps and some wicks. Need more oil though. Looks like I will have to order it.

I saw some oil lamps at the hardware store. I better pick up a few and some oil as well. I loved the oil lamps my parents used when we were suffering from "hurricanes-crashing-down-our-power".

Extra phone books too.

Funny story, well not really.

I started reading a peak oil forum about 2 yrs ago and really started to think about these potential SHingTF scenarios. I shared some (ok alot) with Hubby.
Keep in mind that his business was tanking and we were in the process of losing our house. He finally said to me....can you please stop telling me all this and emailing me all these articles? I can't sleep anymore and I think I may be nearing a break down.

Poor guy! So I have kept my mouth shut and stopped frequenting that forum....but it still in my head! I don't fear it so much as I feel I should be prepping for it.

My immediate concern is run-away inflation. Lots of shenanigans going on in the financial markets that appear to be holding it off for now, but it is coming!!! Having a cushion of a year or two will sure come in handy.
