Abifae - Ciao Babies!

No clue, actually rofl. He just said he got me a prezzie and keep an eye on the mail. He said since I fell in love with canning, he got me one, so guessed canner! Who knows. I will be happy either way was curious the difference, too.

Size is the difference. A canner is sized to hold pint and quart jars, while a cooker is designed for quickly cooking down meats. Not a problem if it IS a cooker, because pressured chicken and roast are grand. :drool

I couldn't live without my pressure cooker. When I have a roast and I've forgotten about it until 4:30 in the afternoon, I just pull out that old cooker and in just a few minutes have a tasty roast with potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, etc. It's a life saver.

A cooker IS an awesome thing, but no good for canning. I'm saving for one myself :)

The smaller size of a cooker vs. a canner means that it loses pressure faster (great for cooking, disaster for canning because all the recipes will be totally off).

Awesome!! Thanks everyone!!!

*wonders what she got*
