hehehehe.
Okay, so once upon a time, I went to school. Anyway, my geometry teacher realized that I was hopeless. But she was one of the five good teachers I've had, and so she worked with me after school. A LOT.
She would put a problem on the board and tell me to solve it any way I wanted and I'd always get it right. Using algebra. The issue was entirely in the geometric applications.
So she sat down and helped me measure things and cut it out of paper and make 3d models to better understand. AMAZING freaking teacher. And even when she helped, the models never fit together. The measurements moved around and grew and shrank and ... just freaking CHANGED as soon as I touched it. Even SHE admitted I must shift reality pretty hard because it didn't even make sense. She watched me and could not figure out what I did wrong.
She actually gave me a revised final exam so I could pass and get back to algebra where I belonged.
Point being, me and measuring and cutting fabric is where it goes poorly. So if I take a class on fitting and have a dummy, I will have a MUCH better chance at correcting my forays into other dimensions whilst I sew.
