Yes, I would love to have a couple of cows to breed for meat and maybe even milk. I just can't have them on my small pasture. We've had a couple of cows at the same time as a couple of horses - but that was before my brother sold off his part of the property. Maybe in the spring when the grass is coming in full, and I have time to save up for plenty of hay.
I know I won't get much sympathy from those of you measuring snow in inches... but it is stinking cold! It is the wet kind of cold that soaks right into your bones. brrrr
I have a quilt that is about 75yrs old - my great aunt's mother in law made it for my great aunt/uncle's wedding gift... they were married over 60yrs when my uncle passed away and my aunt gave me the quilt. She actually gave me 3 and I love them. This is the only one in good enough condition to use though... and it is so nice on days like today.
The chickens are in the garden. They came when I called them to the backyard, but zipped right back out to the garden. Hopefully they'll come in when the rain comes.
