Out to pasture
I live just north of Petaluma. I don't go there often, since I am not much of a comuter nor a shopper. But I will occasionally go to Petaluma for something special, like heirloom seeds that have actally been tested for GMO
It is also where the animal auctions are. I haven't been to one yet. I am afraid if I went I would have to buy all of them

Anyway, after about 2-3 years of not very successful gardens I started a garden journal - nothing major, just max/min temps, amount of rainfall, 1st and last frosts, when things started to bloom, or were harvested, things like that. It has helped; the garden does better every year.
