SD, you weren't supposed to notice we are all really out of work comedians :D

Back to my one girly indulgence.... SHOES!!!!

A agree with the Sketchers recommendations. I had some a few years ago and they were almost bombproof. Just found another pair at goodwill for $4.99.
I also love Merrills. Boy are those pricey new. Even Goodwill charges $9, but I gladly pay it.

OF COURSE, we are only buying these on the clearance rack or at a thrift store
Ours discounts by tag color. The local ARC has 50% off on Saturdays.

I like the Skechers Sports. I am currently wearing some cheap New Balance that look as if they fell off the garbage truck  They're about 5 years old, but other than the red clay stains, paint stains, uh...other stains, they are holding together GREAT!!! I should really get a new pair though :/ They truly LOOK horrid, but man are they ever still comfy :D

At 2000 a dress, they really aren't at Goodwill lol. Even the ready to buy isn't and those do sell at stores. :gig

I typically don't buy used clothes but I buy good quality clothes on the cheap and they last forever. I am still wearing things from the early 90s.

Talbots
Coldwater Creek

shoes-

Dansko
Clarks

not much help, I guess. I don't buy that often.

I am the same. I do buy a few things like flannel shirts/denim shirts for the farm etc. from thrift stores but I never buy my 'public' clothes from thrift stores. I find great expensive clothes at good stores very cheap on sales etc.
I can buy new clothes at the same cost of thrift stores if you shop right and take time to find those sales.

(my thrift stores etc in the area are cheap stuff...no one is donating Vanderbilt jeans, LL Bean coats etc )

I always wait til after Xmas for best sales on great winter clothes.

The shoes that last me the longest are Okabashi.
Hubby took forever to kill a pair of combat boots too, so I guess they would qualify.

I don't shop at thrift stores in my area. I go to the wealthy areas in CT where there is no walking traffic. The pickin's are fantastic!
