I still have a lot of space to plant in still, everything to the right of the clothsline, but it is all sandy and completely soaked at the moment. I've been emptying my composters, rabbit poo and excess black dirt into the area and hopefully will get to work it in next weekend ;)

haven't been on here in a bit. This past week me and 3 of the kiddo's pulled a bunch of radish's and we chopped them up :) Mmmmmm we have 4 quarts of pickled radishes cooling on the counter right now.

And all of a sudden my squash plants are going nuts, and my mustard greens are bolting :) hoping to save some seed to make my own mustard :)

phew.. drove 6 posts in and needing 6 more.. 450' of twine later I have one trellis for my green beans up :/ That was an old pic of the garden, I'll have to get some new ones for ya'll soon!

In the meantime, I got deer coming into the garden raiding it during the night time eating my bean sprouts so the big dog is going out on a 100' lead line :gig

Looks like I'll be getting some brush hogging done this year after all. My cousin had 2 laptops that were in relatively good shape but one needed a keyboard and the other needed an LCD so I replaced both. In return he's going to bring his big tractor n brush hog out for a few hours :weee

Awesome barter Boyd! :woot The deer have not disturbed mine this year. That's about the ONLY good thing about stray dogs roaming around :/ Can't wait to see new pics! I have been out in my garden, getting shed of my pitiful potato and onions. I dug the taters and got maybe 5 pounds :hu it's better than nothing. The onions, I got a few about the size of a ping pong ball  Win some lose some...always. The beans are doing well, as are the squash and tomatoes. It has been a great year for those. Okra is coming along nicely too. I have lost about half my stuff planted, but the other seems to be making up the difference. I am planting more corn early next month. Thank God for the long growing season in the South that allows for redo's on some things!!

Since my growing season is short, that's why I plant a redonkulous sized garden.

How big is that again??? That's the best word ever!

450' is a lotta twine...
that's actually 1 of 3 strands needed for my green beans :)

My garden is 40x100 .. The green beans are something like 6x80.. My squash and cuke patch is 20x30ish

That would be almost my entire backyard!
:hide

That's part of my side yard :/ I am just glad that I don't have much to mow anymore. Most of my property is heavily wooded for the time being..
