The cooperative creamery has been chronically behind on paying the farmers they buy from. Rarely has the overdue pay been under $80,000, from what he has told me.
The lawyer asked why in the world they have not declared bankruptcy, but I am afraid that will not solve anything.
Milk is being sold cheap. Too cheap to sustain anything.
