Java is 17.1 hands. Almost 6ft tall at the shoulder.
69 inches at the lowest pay of the withers.
Over 7ft tall at the top of his ears (Long necked thing he is).

I need a ladder!!

Here is my poor 2 year old start to finish on the snake bite. Vet thinks copperhead. Right on the jaw. He's back with the herd now.

My poor cat, Callie, lost part of her toe. Maddie, our Akbash, lost her toe up to the first knuckle. All three bit within 48 hours of each other. We were burning log piles and must've pushed them out.

Sven, my 2 year old colt, had a full recovery with virtually no damage. He does have an ugly scar as a reminder and a strong hate for syringes.

Crap! That is one big snake. Our dog Paris has killed 5 rat snakes and 2 copperheads since we moved here 3 years ago. 2 of our dogs have been bit by copperheads. At least one dog is smart enough not to get bit!

That is a nasty wound. When one of our dogs gets bit, I give them benedryl, a baby aspirin and an arnica pill. I repeat it every 4 hours and they are fine the next day. Last week my 12 year old Aussie came in holding up her hind foot. Within minutes it started swelling, so I started treatment. It only took 2 treatments, the next day our 11 month old grand daughter was mauling her and she just ate it up.

Your poor horse! And your dog and your cat both lost a part of their toe to a copperhead bite! Poor babies!

It was only about 5 ft I think. He's holding it out so it looks bigger.

Holy Cow - that was a horrible wound on your baby.... glad to hear it turned out well. Stupid snakes - we haven't seen too many around here this year - except for the big rat snake I saw in the barn. But, I haven't seen him again and haven't had any losses so maybe him seeing ME scared him away, lol!!

Good to see you!

I was wondering how you've been. Sorry about the snake bites, ugh!! Chickens look good! I am curious how you made your feeders and waterers, if you have time to get a pic I might steal your idea!

love it, thanks! We've used nipple waterers but haven't tried those cups yet. Might have to!
