CheerioLounge - Desert Dreamin'

I'd guess his weather is right about 69 degrees right about now. With a little bit of wind today.

We're about 5 degrees cooler than that Kelly and breezy. About 65

And the cinnamon rolls were ok. :/ I should have used more brown sugar. But, now I know and the next batch will be perfect! :thumbsup

The bread actually turned out pretty good. I have to get some loaf pans so I can make sandwich bread and I'm going to try hamburger buns.

I STILL say you should have been dessert dreamer. :D

The "Old Man" next door and J's cousin and her DD are coming for dinner this evening. The "Old Man" is alone this week and I worry that he doesn't eat right when his DD is away. J's cousin is bringing over some of her DD's dresses for alterations. I think we'll have Curry Chicken and Rice. I'm baking a yellow cake for dessert and I have all the makings for chocolate chip cookies, but I need to restrain myself! :P

J has a client coming tomorrow to pick up her "sexy" 40's housewife dresses. They turned out great! With all of our boys returning from Iraq, alterations may pick up :fl They lose so much weight over there and have to have their Dress Blues altered. They also will be having makeup "Birthday Balls" for the returning units. So, maybe some more ballgown alterations too. That's the money!!

That's about it for now....

Dinner sounds delish and the alterations sound like an excellent way to keep putting such nice things on the table.

Well, all of our guests have cancelled. Too bad for them! Delicious dinner and chocolate cake for dessert! The yellow cake became a chocolate cake at J's request. Just leaves more for us!!

Yes Kelly, the alterations sure help with the budget. If only it were a more steady source of income. Oct/Nov is the busiest time, with the Marine Corp Birthday Ball. I am still trying to convince J to make some samples to put on etsy.com. I don't know if that will bring any business, but I think it's worth a try!!
