OK, I've done enough dilly-dallying around on the computer this morning! Time to get outside and work on the chicken yard!! Be back later!

Finished getting the rest of the fencing taken down and moved to where I want to expand the chicken run. The plan is to make a "door" in the existing run into a fenced yard. I think giving them some more room may help cut down on the picking. I also want to put the hen I have separated back with her sisters so I can use her pen for the new chicks. If all goes as planned, I should have it finished by Thursday afternoon. I am a little concerned that it will be uncovered because of the hawks, but I will be out there most of the day anyway, so it's probably not going to be a problem. It should be really nice once I put up the pergola and set up the planter boxes! I wish I could put what's in my head into a picture to post!! I'm getting very excited to have some new chicks!! Then once all that is in place, I'll start getting ready for goats!

So I'm sitting here enjoying the craziness that is Wannabefree's journal and the power goes out! Not all that uncommon here, but it always seem to happen when I least want it too!

Was having some back pain, fever, chills and trouble urinating over the last couple of days, so went to the Dr and sure enough, I have a kidney infection. So i am going to be taking it easy for a few days. The chicken yard is going to have to wait. So if y'all don't see me around the forum, it's because I am recuperating.
