CheerioLounge - Desert Dreamin'

What's fun is when you're not at the party, and you end up as the DD! Had that happen one year when the neighbor's had a party for New Year's. I had no desire to go to the party. I think my DH did, but I don't enjoy that kind of thing. I ended up taking someone home. :/

Sorry you had to deal w/that. I no longer put up w/my husband if he's been drinking. I'll leave-and he knows it. Our relationship is slowly changing for the better. I'm hoping it continues to change to the point that I have my husband back as he was when we first married.

I am so happy to hear that, Deb. I hope he stays on the sober path. You deserve no less. :hugs :thumbsup

He doesn't always stay sober, but he no longer yells, screams and carries on when he's drunk. I lived w/that abuse for too long. I wonder at times if I had found the courage to stand up to him sooner how different our lives would be. But, when you have 2 small children and a disease that leaves you flat in bed when you have a flare up, it's hard to find the courage to do so. I understand completely why so many people stay in an abusive relationship, and while mine was not as bad as some, it was bad enough. I hope that one day I can use my experience to help others in a similar situation.

:hugs to Cheerio and Deb!
I can't stand drunks, I never have, thankfully my other half got that all out of his system when he was younger.

lets see if i can get my math straight here...
for the most part youll get just under 1/2 cream to butter...
2 cups of heavyr cream will get you just under 1 cup of butter

so 2 quarts would be the equivalent of 8 cups, should yeald your about 3 1/2 cups of butter.
1 stick is the equvalent of a 1/4 cup, and theres 4 sticks in 1lb...

so...you should get roughly about 3 1/2lbs of butter out of 2 quarts of heavy cream.
One stick of purchased butter is equal to 1/2 cup. Or at least it is in my neck of the woods.
