CheerioLounge - Desert Dreamin'

I forgot to tell you about the 3 days of UPS deliveries last week! My little sister never ceases to surprise me. The first delivery was a 3 pc set of baking sheets, 2 9" round cake pans, a loaf pan and a really nice set of ceramic mixing bowls with measuring cups and spoons. What an awesome surprise! I called her and thanked her and we talked a while, and she didn't even hint that there would be more. The next day UPS pulled up again and this time it was a Hamilton Beach stand mixer. She knew I had been wanting a Kitchenaid, but couldn't afford it, so she sent the HB. I was shocked! So, I call her again and thank her some more! Then the next day UPS shows up again! This time it's a 5 pc baking set from Rachael Ray! A bigger loaf pan, two 9" cake pans, a 13x9 pan and a baking sheet. We talk all the time and I had mentioned that I had been baking, but I never expected this! I love my sister! :hugs :love

Glad you are back. Are you having good weather ?
Good Morning! and Thanks! I am so glad to back! We are currently having nice weather, but it is supposed to get really windy with possible rain this afternoon through tomorrow. How about you?

Weather is good here. I bought five little meat chicks (which do nothing but eat and POOP) so I'm wanting perfect weather so they can stay OUTSIDE.
You and I have wonderful sisters. Mine sent me a care package also.

I'm still catching up with everyone's journals. I'm really excited about your meaties. I can't wait for better weather either! I need to get my chicken yard expanded to make room for some new layers. I would like to get enough eggs that I can sell some to cover the cost of feed. Once I have them settled in, I can concentrate on getting set up for meaties. J really wants pigs, so we are looking... I'd rather start with goats, but...

You have a wonderful sister!!!! So nice to have someone really listen to you and send you what you need!!! She's a keeper!!!!!

Well the winds have officially arrived! Currently blowing at a steady 31 mph from the West with gusts to about 45 mph. It makes it really difficult to get anything done outside when sand is pelting you in the face and getting in your eyes!! :rant
