Put them in the dehydrator that I rigged up, dropped in a slice of potato and a couple of pieces of bread and all seemed good. Checked on them this morning and it apparently had gotten cold enough overnight that they sort of went dormant (don't know if that's the word I want.) The point is they appeared to be dead. :/ I moved them to a warmer area in partial sun and checked on them a few hours later and they were moving around again! Yay! So I thought all is good... Well, I just went out to grab some for the girls afternoon treat and all but about 20 of them were dead. This time they really were dead. So, I just took the whole flipping mess (minus the potato) and dumped it in the chicken run. Oh Well!
And it certainly wasn't the worst thing I ever wasted $20 on!

We're going to be having company this weekend. A friend from Long Beach is coming out to celebrate her birthday with us. She wants to go gamble and we have several casinos out this way. I hope she has money, cuz we don't!! I'll bake her a cake, cook and build a bonfire, but that's about all we can afford.
Too bad ya don't have some cash to spend...but I'm in the same boat with ya
