No ice or snow here. It’s been in the 20’s at night but in the 40’s during the day. It’s pouring rain now. Saturday will be the last night in the 20’s, then will be at or above freezing next week.

I hope yall thaw out soon or at least it not be so cold.

I believe we are going to get snow tonight so it will insulate the ice. I'm no expert but we got 1/2" to 5/8" of ice from the last storm, I don't know how much sleet we got. What has melted this week just re-froze to make the ice more thick and slick. Then last night we had hoar frost. I should have taken pictures it was beautiful outside this morning just before sunrise.

Still doing coffee. Just no rush this morn. Agonizing over snow tonight. Need to get out there, count noses and refill water tubs -- set up a couple of the heated ones. Toting hot water is not fun but, toting thru snow is really not! Late day refill all hay racks in barns to max.

Just a neighbor.

After taking an elderly neighbor down to a hospital 45 min away for a medical procedure on his lungs, the receptionist asked who I was. I said I’m just a neighbor. She smiled.

Setting the neighbor into his hospital bed, the male nurse asked if I was his daughter. I’m just a neighbor, I said.

The nurse said he’s just a neighbor too. He has neighbors in front of him, on both sides of him and behind him.
His kids play with other neighbor kids. His neighbors have 4th of July block parties, go camping together, and have fun roving the neighborhood during Halloween.

Another nurse came in and said she wished she had neighbors. She doesn’t know hers.

The LA fires brought neighbors together, helping each other, spraying down roofs, helping the elderly out of their homes.

Well snow is here, it's been snowing since sometime before sunrise. I would say a good 3 inches so far. Light fully and dry, great insulation for ice underneath

I heard FB's bus start up, then I heard her outside chipping ice. I went out and said are you going somewhere? She said maybe our neighbor fell and she thinks she may have broken her wrist. She may need to go to the hospital. He husband is snow plowing and won't be home until around 6:00 PM. I said OK let me get the broom and I helped her clean of the bus. FB sent her a txt saying her personal taxi is ready, if she needs a ride to the hospital.

Just a reminder... It's all to easy to fall in this frozen mess, please be extra careful.

Judging by the woven wire around our fruit trees I'm saying 5 inches and still coming down.

Stopped snowing around 5:00 PM. I measured, best I can tell, we got a little more than 5 inches. Light, fluffy, dry snow, great insulation for ice underneath it. Not good for building snowmen.

We got about an inch overnight. Looks pretty outside with no wind.

And in college football, the Ohio team beat the Texas team.

Midnight we had about an inch, no wind, 30*F. This morn not a whole lot more...2" in spots. It'll be gone in couple days. Overnight freezing all week, so ice a thing to watch with melting.

Out for chores in a few. Slow morning -- all weekend!

Sadly, East Coast cold, wet, frozen while West Coast hot, dry, on fire. Total destruction in fire.
