Back to desk work today. We had a tree fall yesterday in one of the wind gusts-they said we made it up into the 50s for gust speed. I will help DH over my lunch break to pull out the tree from the tree next to it, cut and stack. So much for a quiet day. Kids are doing well with time change, I LOVE the early light in the morning and the dark at night, makes it easier for everyone to reach that calm needed before bed much easier. I do not like the cold weather that comes with the change.

Probably should go feed the cattle now, while they are still in the back pasture. Much easier to get a even pour in the through without big heads in the way 🙄

15% commodity and butternut/summer squash, what's not to like if you're cattle 👍

Miss Wooly Bear Hefier Daisy just got a cow lick hairdo from brisket, Daisy is my favorite. I think she's still too immature to become.a momma moo. But I'll have to see how much she's grown come late winter early spring.

Nugget next to T-Bone. Nugget is doing great. He was a little over 500 lbs when his hooves hit our pasture, I don't think he's lost any weight. But seeing this picture makes me wonder how much T-Bone weighs? Ah... It don't matter much... so I'm not thinking too hard on it.

Mommy Moo Oreo is a taskmaster today, I watched her put nugget in his place. She's strictly a non-drama gal, requires peace and tranquility on the pasture. which is just the way I like it 👍

Now back to our regularly scheduled program of Cow TV. With cattle doing what cattle do best, graze the pasture.

I got to spend a little time with the cattle today 👍 We are blessed to have them, Thank You Almighty 👆

Well, I did thaw a chicken out BUT, instead of meat loaf and chicken noodle soup-----
I made,
1/2 cup each of black beans, pinto beans kidney beans in the pressure cooker with sea salt and a touch of garlic seasoning: when that was done, I added all of the (raw) ground beef I WAS going to use for meat loaf. I let it cook and added to taste, cumin, 505 hatch green chili and a can of hominy, I let it come to a boil and shut it off. I tasted it after a bit and decided it needed more salt.
I can mix up some biscuits; I don't feel like making tortillas OR we do have some sourdough left that should be eaten.

so, green chili beef soup
