Agreed summer has come and gone quicker than normal. @Country homesteader I heard this winter is going to be brutal. Going to start winter prepping the barn and coop in Sept this year. Thankful we have 90% of our wood cut and stacked already.

Found out my dog has bone cancer in her hip yesterday, vet gave us one month of pain pills with a 2 month estimated time left. I am so sad, my heart broke a bit yesterday. She is 9 and was my Mother's Day gift when she was 6 weeks old.

First lamb born on the farm, Lucy proudly presents Ono, a ram lamb.

View attachment 20162

Lucy is a good mom. I opened the gate, the ewes flooded out on the field and went to grazing. Lucy Baa-baaed but they wouldn’t come back and keep her company! She stayed with her lamb, making those low rumbling baa baa baa sounds. After several hours, Lucy led Ono out the gate, about 5 feet, and she grazed. She hasn’t gone any further, keeping Ono close to the safety of the pen.

Aww too cute (˘⌣˘)

Motivation. Desperately seeking some this morning.

The wife is sick and I don't know where to start today. Long work week after last weekend's fun.

Maybe some coffee will help
I hope she gets better soon!

I have been dragging for two? Three? Weeks now?

Just can't fully kick this cough and congestion.

They're huge! We used to get cherrystones from Eastern Shore. Maybe size of half dollar.
