Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Good Morning all you BoYin's. What a fabulous glorious day the Lord has made. Still overcast with a little snow flurries outside but the temperature is 34 degrees and the winds are calm. Ole fisher momma bear wood stove is keeping us nice and toasty warm.

I slept like a rock last night but Almighty woke me this morning and allowed.me to go from horizontal to vertical. I looked out the windows and was awestruck at the beauty. I am Thankful that I may enjoy another day of life, in Almighties glorious earth under the firmament of heaven \o/

Isaiah 6:1-3

I hope you enjoy your day 👍

We got our first two chicken eggs this morning 👍 Farm babe asked if they were frozen? Nope not frozen. I cleaned them off and water glass tested them, both sank, so good 😋

Learning to use ole momma bear... I put an all nighter (big split oak chunk) in last night before bed. I turned down the air inlets that my granddaughter painted with finger nail polish (green overnight, orange normal idle, red hell fire). This morning I raked the coals and tossed in some kindling. Got an immediate fire. Added a small log to the center and let that burn a bit one hell fire setting Then I leaned two split chunks to the sides to form a A. This was many hours ago.

I just turned the inlets down from hell fire to normal idle because the thermometer on the wall is over 100 degrees. I'm figuring out, there is a "method" to feeding ole momma bear, to get the most heat out of the wood. I just took this picture from this morning stoke. It's many hours burn hopefully you can see the A I formed. This method allows air to flow through the A and seems to work very well.

if I have an egg that gets froze I mix it in the dogs BK

Not as much snow as predicted and the rain started earlier. Let's see how much melts
Hard to tell what we got because it was big slushy flakes. I would venture to say accumulation of around 3 inches of heavy wet snow after the rain stopped and it changed to snow late last night. It covered my boots this morning walking in the grass. A lot less accumulation on the concrete. But it was slushy, so just an estimate. If it would have been dryer snow, I would estimate, it would have been at least 6 or more inches of accumulation. Your getting it in the day with warmer temps so hopefully you won't get as much accumulation.
