I think the beginning of the video is a bit stereotypical, but the message is right on. "These are our people''.

Now now, what has television taught us about stereotypes? Thats right! Just because it is a stereotype doesn't mean it isn't true!

And yes, as some people on youtube commented, some parts of it were a bit fluffybunnyish, but at the same time, thats an attitude that needs to be gone. just because something makes you uncomfortable doesn't necessarily mean it is a bad thing, or should be dismissed out of hand (unless its an idea to make mattress filler out of thorns - thats a BAD idea and should be dismissed out of hand, and the idea person slapped upside the head ). Overall, she has some darn good points and I'm happy I watched it again today. I figure if I watch it every day before work I might be less tempted to slap some coworkers, shake some customers, and walk out of my job while I still need the money

pretty sure it came from our EE since they are the only breed out of the ones we have that would lay a blueish egg!

I mean, yeah, we have been getting eggs from the two mille fluer bantam cochin hens we have, but I bought those already laying. the ee we raised from a little chick!! we finally have a "first" egg! whooo ooooo ooooo!!!!
ok, maybe I shouldn't be this happy but its freakin awesome!

are you kidding? i totally missed this one! I thought it was going to be one of the jerseys, she started squatting today, got bred twice yesterday, and she let me pet her and pick her up! i figured she was getting ready for laying, and then we have this one! yay

You simply MUST get a big needle, carefully poke holes in each end of the shell, and stick the needle in and break the yoke. Then firmly blow into one end of the egg over a cup or bowl until all the egg comes out. Rinse the inside of the shell with cool water and then let it dry and you can save it forever!

Find a bird's nest after a storm in late spring/early summer and you can display it on your mantel (if you have a mantel...)

I have a basket of my first pullet eggs on display.

That's a pretty big egg for a first egg. You should be proud of that girl!!! Just wait until yo get a double yolker. Now that's always a treat.
