DGD is lovely! She likes the flowers...:love

I've pretty much given up on my garden. Between work & too much rain, I have a pasture again. :D Will till and plant for Fall stuff. NEXT year I want/plan to be home more & do better.

So, what's wrong with a few stripes in the peppers? If the taste good & do what you want, color isn't important.

You know, I've had people buy mini horses from me BECAUSE of the color, alone. Another with better conformation was passed because of color. $$in my pocket but, their loss. :D So consider if all else with those peppers is "ok".

What's wrong with them? Nothing really just look a little off I reckon. I mean who would want to eat a stripped pepper? Maybe lots of people?

You just gave me an idea. What if I could pull off crossing a red bell and Ivory bell and call it candy striper?

Peppers, a few of them are for my evil crossing experiments. But most of them are for eating.

More peppers and tomatoes. I'm pretty much done with tomato crossing. I'm happy with them for now. I only put in 6 - 1/2 rows od tomatoes this year since last year we were over run with tomatoes but I doubled down on the peppers.

A lot of people buy different veggies because of the color variations! Think about it -- you buy green peppers @ 50-75 cents each at the store....look at the red, yellow & orange they are at least double the price. Basically, same with fancy color. Tomatoes -- all colors, sizes, shapes -- yes, some even obviously striped. Eggplant, okra, green beans, cauliflower, carrots -- all have varieties with COLOR.

I believe a "candy striper" would be lovely! Go for it.

Ole corn / bachelor button flowers sure are pretty this year. My daughter in-law was just admiring them and labled me "Mr. Green Thumb" because I can grow pretty flowers. Boy is she easily fooled... Little does she know these flowers are a cake walk to grow, I don't do hard to grow and I only plant them for japanese beatle control.
