That is a FANTASTIC book. My dear friend has one (she's my sister in self-sufficiency) and she loans it to me on occasion.

Yep, I bought it. It has quite a bit of useful stuff, but I think the chicken part is just a repeat of the Storey's chicken book. I also have The Encyclopedia of Country Living.

Almost Self-Reliant
I dont have that one....but I have a few my FIL gave me from his collection. One of my Favorites is Back to Basics, from readers digest.
Now this book has some very basic living "how-to's"
Cant beat a good book, for backup.
