Cure for Urinary Tract Infections

I've read (somewhere, sorry I can't remember the source right now) that DMSO applied topically not only absorbs into the body very rapidly, it also causes anything ELSE on the skin underneath it to be absorbed as well. Sounds to me like one should be careful to clean the skin thoroughly before application?

ditto on the D-Mannose. I suffered from chronic UTIs and haven't had to be on antibiotics for them since I discovered this a few years ago. I take 2 pills 3x a day for 2 days when I feel one coming on and that usually takes care of it.
