Beek,

I might still be able to catch you although it is pretty iffy. Besides that I forget where everyone lives.

I was staying in Monterey, VA and working on the Monongahela National Forest just a little north of Bartow, WV.

I'm heading home Sunday via Shenandoah National Park and hope to hit Harpers Ferry first. pm me your town and I'll see if I can work it in.

NO WAY!!!! Monterey is just 27 miles from my place! I go to church in Monterey. Isn't it the cutest little town you've ever seen? If I had known you were there I would have taken you down the Blue Grass Valley.....not to be missed if you are ever there again!

Did you stay at the Highland Inn? Eat at High's? Darn it, Dac! It would surely have been a privilege to meet you. :)

SHOOT.

I probably drove almost by your house everyday. We were working north of Bartow. Drove across the mountains on 250, then north on 28 for a few miles, right near the watershed sign on 28. But then you might live north on Monterey. If that's the case then we drove by the first day on the way to a meeting with our client.

Yes, we stayed at the Highland Inn, very "quaint" to say the least. Ate at High's once. There is a slight chance I might be going back next year. If so I will definitely look you up.

Internet was not real good where I was, my room was tiny, and I was tired at the end of the day so I didn't get on SS as much as usual. If I had I might have been in touch sooner.

Yep...if you had stayed on 28 North until you hit the junction of 33/28, hung a right and traveled over a big mountain, you would have came right past my door.

Small world, ain't it? :D

Yeah, the Highland Inn has seen better days, I'm sure. Much better. :P

You drove right past High Town on your travels down 250. If you turned either right or left at High Town, you would be travelling right down the Blue Grass Valley with its 42 mile views. Lovely place!

Next year I will feed you a GOOD meal! ;) You are the luckiest guy alive to have such a job, you know that? :)

If I get to go back you're on.

This is in Virginia close to where I was working and staying.
