Went on vacation.

While I've been busy seeing the sights and doing other things, just popping in and out, I see you folks have been busy. I haven't seen this many threads in here closed in such a short period of time in quite awhile.

I think some folks need to take a chill pill or eat some chocolate or something.

Hey Dac and Mrs Dac. Looking good!!! I love all the work you have been getting done. The picnic table is wonderful. Porch looks great especially with the log supports.

I had to google Fort Jefferson and the Dry Tortuga's. That place looks amazing. Looks like I have a couple more national parks to ad to my list.

yes I vote for chocolate.

Thanks Gina, it was amazing. We took over 800 pictures trying to get a few really good ones. We camped out there for two nights and want to go back and do it again. I have more photos up on my facebook page.

Love the porch and love that spring is here.

Wish it would quit raining. Everytime it rains it means I have to wait almost a week to get the tractor out and do some work.

We also went to the Everglades. The Everglades are amazing. Want to go back and spend a week there.

I realized that after changing my thread title and posting a bunch of pictures I didn't say much else.


It's springtime, almost summer. The redbuds are almost done blooming, the dogwoods are in bloom, the grass and other plants are coming up like crazy. We had a couple of real warm days and the trees exploded into leaf. Birds are singing their mating songs and getting their breeding plumage. Saw a humming bird today. The pollen is heavy .

Had a big storm Tuesday evening. About 5 hours after the storm we lost power. Put the new (last year) generator to use.
